Green Organizations

Green Drinks is mostly for people working on environmental issues, but anyone can come -- people from environment groups, business, government, academia and as individuals. There is no "us and them."

Come along and you'll be made welcome. Just say, "are you green?" and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there.

It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts.

Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network.

FamilyFarmed is a Chicago-based non-profit committed to expanding the production, marketing and distribution of locally grown sustainable food. We’ve trained more than 12,500 farmers to grow their markets - and we can help you, too.

The Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Conservation Program provides protection to the endangered and threatened sea turtle species in Miami-Dade County through conservation, education, and community outreach.

We offer presentations for student groups and others to learn more about sea turtles, how artificial light affects them negatively, what to do if you see a stranded sea turtle and how you can help keep them safe.

Sustainable Supperclub produces events where like-minded individuals come together to participate in an interactive learning experience focused on food waste education and sustainable practices, while providing meals to those in need.

Our objective is to raise awareness and to highlight the amount of needlessly wasted food. At the same time, we support organizations whose mission is to assist those who wonder where their next meal is coming from.

The Denver Tesla Club facilitates connections and conversations among local owners of the best car ever made. We meet monthly with our fellow Tesla owners, plan Tesla events, and share information about other interesting events along the Front Range.

For example, in February 2018, we had a fun and exciting Tesla road trip from Denver to Colorado Springs to Poncha Springs as commemoration for the opening of a new Supercharger. All were welcome, including non-owners, for whom we were happy to arrange rides.

Are you a Colorado farmer or rancher who's interested in joining the Farm to School program, but are unsure how? To help farmers sell nutritious foods direct to Colorado schools, Colorado Farm to School has set up a Producer Mentoring program.

WHY SELL TO COLORADO SCHOOLS?

Selling to schools is a great way for farmers to ensure a consistent level of sales and predictability about what to grow and raise. It also lets you offer local students the freshest, most nutritious meals possible.

The Austin EcoNetwork is Austin’s local environmental news source, connecting people to information, events and resources related to Austin and the environment.

The Austin EcoNetwork website features Austin’s most comprehensive listing of green events and blogs written by green thought leaders and a dedicated staff of journalists - as well as a wide array of entertaining and educational podcasts.

Hill Country Conservancy marshals resources to preserve Hill Country's natural areas, aquifers and springs, rivers and streams, farms and ranches, and rural heritage. Some current projects:

VIOLET CROWN TRAIL

The Violet Crown Trail began as a vision in 1999 to create the first regional trail system in Central Texas. After years of strategic land acquisition and planning, the first six-mile segment is now open.
