The Florida Native Plant Society

The Florida Native Plant Society is a non-profit formed in 1980 to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida and the use of Florida native plants in landscaping.

While some members are botanical, environmental or nursery professionals, most of us are just "regular" people who enjoy nature or gardening.

The Dade Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society is one of more than 20 chapters around the state.

Chapter activities include:

The Illinois Green Business Association

The Illinois Green Business Association (IGBA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that helps businesses integrate green practices through education and engagement, causing a business to find profitability in sustainability.

Our vision is that a sustainable business culture is the standard practice of economic activity. Companies, communities, and consumers will thrive through healthy, mutually beneficial relationships that are diverse, resilient and balanced.

From seed to table, Austin’s Sustainable Food Center creates opportunities for individuals to make healthy food choices and to participate in a vibrant local food system. Through organic food gardening, relationships with area farmers, interactive cooking classes, and nutrition education, we strive to empower children and adults in Austin with increased access to locally grown, healthy, and affordable food.

OUR PROGRAMS

Dream in Green’s mission is to empower individuals to respond to climate change and other environmental challenges.

We assist diverse organizations, including schools, households, local governments and businesses, to reduce their environmental footprint. Through establishing partnerships, we develop, implement and oversee educational programs and workshops that promote environmentally sustainable behaviors among all age groups, with an emphasis on K-12 students.

The California Business Alliance for a Clean Economy was created to amplify the business voice in support of policies to help move us toward cleaner energy, less dependence on petroleum, and to help us avoid the economic and social disruptions associated with climate change.

As an Alliance supporter, you will receive a monthly e-newsletter that includes relevant news, member profiles, and upcoming events of interest.
