Austin Permaculture Guild: Supporting Permaculture in Austin
The Austin Permaculture Guild is an educational and networking platform that supports Austin's permaculture movement by encouraging sustainable improvements in all areas of our lives.
We offer permaculture design courses, permablitz workshops (creating edible gardens), networking and connection opportunities for the eco-community (potlucks and gatherings), and we host the Eco Fair at HOPE Farmer's Market every Spring.
What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is "a system of agricultural and social design principles centered around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems."
PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSES
We hold a two-week intensive class for full immersion into the permaculture lifestyle each summer, and a 6 weekend format class that is ideal for students with a busy schedule.
ECO FAIR AT HOPE FARMER’S MARKET EVERY SPRING
Eco Fair serves as a platform for eco-conscious organizations in Austin. Hosting the Eco Fair creates a space for neworking, education for all ages, and encouragement for people to become involved in eco-organizations and the permaculture lifestyle.
VOLUNTEER FOR PERMABLITZ
Permablitz workshops are meant to reach out to the community by joining together skilled and like-minded volunteers to build public and residential perennial food gardens and forests.
