Save Our Springs Alliance: Austin’s Water Watchdog Since 1992

The Save Our Springs Alliance strives to protect the Edwards Aquifer, its springs and contributing streams, and the natural and cultural heritage of the Hill Country region and its watersheds - with special emphasis on Barton Springs. Pollution and over-pumping are problems today and we need your help to address these issues.

The alliance offers education advocacy about our ecosystem because the Edwards Aquifer cannot speak for itself. Instead, citizens who take the time to learn the ways of the land, water, wildlife, and people can speak in favor of policies that will protect and sustain the Aquifer and its contributing watersheds.

Our alliance offers a multimedia presentation that covers all the basic information that people need to know to become engaged and active citizens. The presentation lasts about twenty minutes, but can be tailored to specific audiences.

We need your time and energy to help us protect Barton Springs and the Edwards Aquifer. Now is the time to get involved.
