Wild Basin Creative Research Center for Austin's Wildlife
On 227 acres of Central Texas Hill Country habitat, Wild Basin Creative Research Center facilitates research, public awareness, and preservation of Austin’s wildlands to promote the protection of eight endangered species and 27 species of concern. We also offer guided hiking tours for adults and school children.
In collaboration with St. Edwards University and Travis County, Wild Basin Creative Research Center serves as a local gateway to the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.

Join Wild Basin volunteers for trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, wildlife surveys, restoration, and other stewardship projects.
(We have volunteer opportunities during the week, as well as monthly land management workdays.)
