Chicago's Little Village Environmental Justice Organization

At Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO), our mission is to organize for environmental justice in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago and achieve self-determination for immigrant, low-income, and working-class families.

Building upon our successful clean power, public transit, and open space campaigns, LVEJO remains committed to organizing with those most impacted by industrialization and climate change.

With LVEJO, you can take our educational toxic tour around Little Village, engage youth to become community leaders, work in the Semillas de Justicia community garden, and become a part of our current campaign for the environment, the five-year EJ2020 Plan.

Join us to oppose false market-based solutions to the climate crisis and advocate for three legislative policies that support a just transition to a new economy based on renewable energy sources and family-supporting jobs.

We also promote local solutions and policies that strengthen responsible recycling, composting, and zero waste programs.

After twenty years working for environmental justice in Little Village, LVEJO continues to organize for a healthier community in Little Village and beyond.
