Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is an advocate for family farmers and ranchers, local communities, and consumers. Our job is to provide our members with the tools they need to be profitable, to build better futures, to be stewards of the environment, and to have a voice that is heard by local, state, and national policymakers.

Persistent progressives from day one, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is dedicated to:

New England Law School's Environmental Advocacy Project brings together professors, students, and community activists to aid environmental causes through legal research, counseling, and representation. While EAP projects vary as widely as the environmental interests of the professors and students who develop them, many focus on Boston’s urban environment, allowing students to have direct contact with the environmental interests they serve.

We are mothers, grandmothers, and other caregivers who can no longer be silent and still about the very real danger that climate change poses to our children’s and grandchildren’s future.

We build our movement person-to-person at house parties, in coffee houses, on playgrounds, at schools, in places of worship, and in front of our state houses.

We form teams to lead campaigns in our towns and cities. Each local team works with its community to switch to renewable energy and say no to fossil fuels.

Love Your Block offers mini-grants and neighborhood cleanups for beautification projects.

In 2015, the City of Boston kicked off the Love Your Block mini-grant program thanks to Cities of Service. Love Your Block will now be a permanent Boston program, including: mini-grants, neighborhood cleanups (formerly Boston Shines), and (eventually) community tool sheds.

As always, the Office of Civic Engagement continues to urge Bostonians to revitalize their neighborhoods, one block at a time.
