Fertile Earth Foundation - composting in Miami
Fertile Earth Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on composting in Miami. Our mission is to lead the composting movement in Miami through education, research, community building, and supporting healthy soil.
Soil is our lifeline; it's fundamental to health and wellbeing of our society, gives life to our food, cleans our air, filters and holds our water, and yes, even combats climate change.
That’s why we created our projects: a compost map (at https://www.fertileearth.org/map), where you can find places to drop off your compost; and a pick-up service, which covers Brickell, Coral Way, Downtown, Miami Beach and neighboring areas.
In addition, we’ve created CompostHub – an area where anyone can stop by and drop-off their food scraps.
Since we launched this program in 2016, our CompostHub has kept over 4,000 pounds of food waste out of landfills!
Want to get involved, ask questions, learn more? We'd love to hear from you!
