The Children's Climate Prize

The Children's Climate Prize, an international award given annually to young people acting to support the environment, has announced its seventh edition.
According to the Children's Climate Foundation, the Swedish group that bestows the award, the prize "celebrates and sheds light on young innovators, entrepreneurs and change makers in order to spread hope and inspire... [We seek] to promote children's contributions to environmental and climate work both local and internationally."
More specifically, the prize is intended for "a young person who has exemplified extraordinary efforts to improve his or her own future and that of future generations."
The winner and several finalists will be celebrated at a ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden. While attendance at the ceremony is optional, the winner will receive a diploma, a medal and 10,000 Euro (currently over $10,000) to develop his/her project.
Nominations are being accepted from all over the world, for an individual, group or organization that has "taken actions to bring sustainable solutions to our planet." Applicants can nominate anyone, including him- or herself. Due date is May 15, 2022.
