The Tropics is a line of goods born in sunny Miami, FL, in an eager attempt to bridge the gap between comfort, style and sustainability. We produce 100% organic cotton t-shirts and 100% recycled swim trunks.
TRASH TO TRUNKS
Billions of plastic bottles go into landfills every year. But now we can do something about it. We’re excited to be working with Repreve – a company which transforms recycled bottles into an amazing fiber, used by the world's leading brands to make athletic, fashion apparel and more. The process embeds properties like wicking, adaptive warming and cooling and water repellency at the fiber level. Our partnership with Repreve allows us to use the world's leading recycled fiber for our line of swim trunks.
CLEANUPS AND COLLABORATION
With the environment in mind, we want to have a bigger impact than just creating another brand. We want to establish a source of inspiration for individuals to connect, collaborate and make a difference through nothing but good vibes.
We host monthly beach cleanups throughout Miami to spread sustainable awareness within our local community.
