The Rooney Road Recycling Center accepts hazardous household materials (Jefferson County & Arvada)

Many common household products cannot be thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain. That’s why the Rooney Road Recycling Center accepts hazardous household materials for recycling or proper disposal from Jefferson County residents and Arvada residents in Adams County.

The Center is a convenient, year-round location to recycle or dispose of:

• Latex and Oil Based Paint
• Cleaners and Pesticides
• Motor Oil and Antifreeze
• Electronics and Batteries
• And more

The Rooney Road Recycling Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We recycle close to 90% of the chemicals collected, keeping them out of our natural environment.
