Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and sells aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient homes in partnership with low-income families who are willing to work hard to become homeowners.

Through our homeownership program, we sell homes to qualified families at an affordable mortgage rate, no down payment, and a set monthly mortgage payment that does not exceed 30% of a family's gross monthly income.

Our homes feature significant green elements:

*ENERGY STAR products such as refrigerators and CFL bulbs
*Tankless water heaters
*90% efficient furnaces
*Low-flow toilets
*Designed for adequate cross-ventilation
*Non-toxic, low-voc paints
*Placement to take advantage of passive solar heating in the winter
*Locations with close access to public transportation and living needs
