The GrowHaus: Reinventing Denver’s Food System
Our mission at The GrowHaus is to create a Denver community-driven, neighborhood-based food system by serving as a local hub for sustainable food distribution, production, and education.
~ SOME OF WHAT WE DO ~
FOOD PRODUCTION
Our growing operations include innovative, sustainable, and community-oriented urban farms - including a hydroponic farm, an aquaponics farm, a mushroom farm, and a seedling start nursery.
Want to see the farms yourself? Sign up online for one of our weekly tours.
DEMONSTRATION FARM
Growasis, our education and demonstration farm, incorporates techniques from permaculture design. All are welcome to visit and get their hands dirty.
FOOD BOXES
The GrowHaus offers all in Denver a weekly food box program that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, and dry goods from different farms.
NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET
Mercado de al Lado offers fresh produce year round, as well as meat and dairy products.
MICRO FARM PROGRAM
Residents of our community gain key sustainability skills through a series of 4- to 12-week classes.
SEED 2 SEED
Our summer leadership program for teens focuses on healthy diet, healthy soil, and healthy communities.
If you want to become involved in food justice, are looking for an internship opportunity, or just have time to donate your professional skills, we'd love to hear from you!
