Miller Soils is a family owned soil business specializing in biochar-based blends and grow medias for large-scale and small-scale organic farms.
WHY USE BIOCHAR?
Acting like a sponge, carbon-rich biochar helps keep nutrients and water close to plant roots while actively enhancing soil oxygenation. Additionally, biochar acts as a natural filter, capturing nitrogen and limiting the amount leached into our ground water through runoff.
The goal of biochar technology is to improve soil fertility and sequester carbon.

Miller Soils is committed to using natural ingredients and sustainable practices, and we do our best to mimic natural biological systems. In fact, we got our start as an effort to turn forestry wastes from wildland-urban interface treatments into valuable organic soil amendments like biochar and compost.
