About GPSEN:
The Greater Portland Sustainability Education Network (GPSEN) is a multi-sector network of colleges, schools, educators, students, non-profits, political and industry leaders, organizations, and community members collaborating to promote sustainability education, public awareness, and training in the Portland Metro region.
Acknowledged as a Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) on education for sustainable development (ESD), by the United Nations University, in 2013, we are part of a coalition of 136 RCEs around the world (one of four in U.S.).
Position:
GPSEN is seeking assistance in efforts to enhance its online presence. This is an 8 hour/week internship for the purpose of assisting in the maintenance and updating of our WordPress website that incorporates a range of resources including a blog, a document library, and a calendar.
The website serves as a hub and archive for GPSEN activity with the aim of strengthening the network as a whole, inviting greater community participation in sustainability education.
In addition, we’re aiming to implement templates and plugins for a community resources database.
Qualifications:
The Ideal candidate should demonstrate:
● a strong interest in sustainability & sustainability education.
● skills in HTML and experience working with WordPress.
