Environmental Studies at DePaul University

At DePaul University, our Environmental Science and Environmental Studies tracks stimulate analytical thinking and encourage broad perspectives, challenging students to get maximum benefits from their talents and skills.

Our faculty members are active researchers in soil and wetland science, restoration ecology, geology, paleontology, and conservation biology, offering students many opportunities to gain hands-on research experience.

Further, our proximity to Lake Michigan, Chicago's great urban ecosystem, and many environmental science conferences allow you to interact and work with professionals in the field.

*Our Environmental Studies program offers a Standard concentration and a Sustainability concentration, which studies interdependency among physical, biological, economic and social systems. We also have an Urban Sustainability focus.

*Bachelor's, Master's and combined Bachelor's/Master's degrees are available.
