GROWING VEGGIES, NOT LANDFILLS

Available at Joe's Organics, our “Greener Pastures Compost” is made using just a few ingredients: food scraps from Austin's green businesses, local horse manure from alfalfa-fed horses, and sawdust or leaves.

We collect over three tons of waste each week from 30 restaurants and sustainable businesses in the Austin area. Our piles are composted for at least 3 months using a hot composting method to create a product that is a fantastic additive to your (and our) soil.

Coyote Creek Farm helps small farmers provide their livestock with a healthy diet of organic feeds, enabling them to take more organic eggs and superior meat products to their local farmers markets.

Our high-quality organic feeds are free of antibiotics, hormones, and recycled animal byproducts.

Our feeds are made with certified organic ingredients and meet the USDA’s national organic standards.

We inspect and test incoming grain to make sure that it meets our high standards.

* A LOCAL DENVER BUSINESS * FAMILY OWNED SINCE 1964 *

We at Elliott Gardens encourage people to grow organic, healthy plants and vegetables without the ridiculous prices. With over 30,000 square feet of indoor shopping, we offer organic vegetable starts, hydroponic basil and lettuce, organic pesto basil and one of the largest selections of annuals and perennials in the Denver metro area.

And since we grow most of our plants on site, our prices are very reasonable.

The Austin Permaculture Guild is an educational and networking platform that supports Austin's permaculture movement by encouraging sustainable improvements in all areas of life.

We offer permaculture design courses, permablitz workshops (creating edible gardens), and networking and connection opportunities for the eco-community (potlucks and gatherings). Plus, we host the Eco Fair at HOPE Farmer's Market every Spring.

What is Permaculture?

Miller Soils is a family owned soil business specializing in biochar-based blends and grow medias for large-scale and small-scale organic farms.

WHY USE BIOCHAR?

Acting like a sponge, carbon-rich biochar helps keep nutrients and water close to plant roots while actively enhancing soil oxygenation. Additionally, biochar acts as a natural filter, capturing nitrogen and limiting the amount leached into our ground water through runoff.

The goal of biochar technology is to improve soil fertility and sequester carbon.
