Working Bikes – Your old bike doesn’t belong in a landfill

Working Bikes rescues discarded bicycles and gives them new life by redistributing them as tools of empowerment in Chicago and to those in need around the globe.

We accept donations of bikes, bike parts, and accessories. To donate, please visit to our warehouse/shop at 2434 S. Western Ave. Hours:

Wednesday | 12 – 7 p.m.
Thursday | 12 – 7 p.m.
Friday | 12 – 5 p.m.
Saturday | 12 – 5 p.m.
Sunday | 12 – 5 p.m.*
*Spring and Summer Season Only

If our warehouse is too far, you can bring your bicycles to one of our drop-off locations: https://www.workingbikes.org/drop-off-locations

Other ways that you can get involved:
• Fixing bikes at our warehouse
• Representing Working Bikes at regional events
• Becoming a year-round drop off location
• Hosting a fundraising event
• Serving on a Committee

We are able to do the work we do because of the generous support of hundreds of individual donors, recycle event organizers, and our bicycle drop off locations.
